Nate Gieryn

Nate Gieryn is the Tourism Deputy Director at the Office of the Governor, Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office. The Travel Texas program promotes the state as a premier travel destination in domestic and international markets through an integrated advertising, public relations and marketing program. In this role, he also directs a research program that serves as a foundation for the state’s tourism promotion and a resource for the travel industry and tourism development.

Mr. Gieryn holds a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of the Arts in Geography with Honors from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a past-president of the Travel and Tourism Research Association and received a mark of distinction from the Texas Travel Industry Association, now Texas Travel Alliance.
