Scott began his role as President at the Greater Killeen Chamber in September 2022. He also is staff leadership for the Killeen Economic Development Corporation, Killeen Industrial Foundation and Fort Hood Area Regional Economic Development Foundation. Scott’s economic development and chamber career spans 38 years with cities throughout Texas and North Carolina. He has also worked for central Texas communities Belton, Waco and Temple.

Scott Connell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds his CEcD (Certified Economic Developer) designation and is a graduate of the Advanced Economic Development Leadership program. He was recognized as one of Consultant Connect’s 2015 North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers.
