
C.S. Freeland
CS Freeland is cofounder of the Texas Venture Alliance, the state's leading non-profit organizing and promoting the Texas innovation ecosystem by providing resources, events, and membership to the statewide community. Additionally, they partner with a number of chambers on innovation efforts for startups, accelerators, workshops, and investors. CS also created the Texas Venture Fest (formerly Texas Venture Crawl) occurring simultaneously in 10+ cities and 16 venues, this year occurring on October 3rd, as the largest gathering featuring the investor scene in Texas history with nearly 3,000 Texans.
At the age of 32, CS was the youngest founding Executive Director of a hyper local venture association in the US . The next year, she accepted an “Organization of the Year” award for that organization from the Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce recognizing her work in the local Asian community.
For the majority of last decade, CS worked at Austin’s first startup studio where she worked as a junior executive helping to launch early stage tech concepts. Outside of startups and venture, she is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper who spoke in Davos, a multi-award winning political campaigns advisor for three successful Texas mayoral races, and nearly 15 year Austinite.
